Steamed Date Pudding

 
 

 

 

A double boiler is a saucepan with a shallow pan that fits inside. The bottom pan is filled with water. Delicate ingredients are cooked in the top pan.

2 eggs
1/2 cup sweetend condensed milk
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 teaspoon B.P. [baking powder]
1 cup (1/2 lb) chopped pitted dates
1/2 cup chopped nut meats

bleand together well beaten eggs and remaining ingredients.

Place in double boiler and cook over boiling water 30 min.

Chill

Serve cold with whipped cream.

Serves 6.
